Austrian politician: “They won’t condemn Thaci, he knows too much”
David Stockinger, a representative of the Social Democratic Party of Austria and the author of the book “Hashim Thaci - a new power, a modern strongman,” believes that the circus with accusations against the “president” of Kosovo was staged in order to spur Serbia to recognize the independence of the region.
The Austrian politician told the Tanyug agency about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Stockinger, the publication of the indictment against the ex-leader of Albanian militants is rather a “whip” for Belgrade, since the United States and the EU want to achieve a final solution to the Kosovo problem with Serbia’s recognition of Kosovo.
“Thachi will not be condemned because he had good relations with the West in general, and he also has good relations with current Western politicians and diplomats in particular,” the Austrian politician said. “I noticed this during the presentation of my book “Hashim Thaci - New Power, Modern Power Leader” at the Vienna Diplomatic Academy two years ago.”

Stockinger recalled that Thaçi was a close ally, in part on friendly terms, with many Western military and diplomatic representatives who financed and equipped the terrorist Kosovo Liberation Army (UCK) because it served as NATO's cheap ground force in the war against the former Yugoslavia.
According to Stockinger, Thaçi, with Western support, has risen to the top of the political scene in Pristina, which he notes is dominated by former UCK leaders and their mafia structures.
“If Thaci had been convicted, then many former Western political and military leaders, such as Bill Clinton, Madeleine Albright, Joschka Fischer, Wesley Clark, should also have been convicted.
Hashim Thaci knows many Western political and military leaders and knows a lot about them
I believe that the number of victims for which the terrorist organization UCK is responsible is much greater than what is mentioned in these charges. Cooperation between NATO, the EU and Thaci has been very close for many years, and Thaci knows a lot about Western political and military leaders,” concluded the Austrian politician.
