Autoham from Sevastopol, who mocked the place of military glory, got off with a preventative conversation
After a publication on social networks, Sevastopol police found the driver of an SUV parked on a bunker dating back to the Great Patriotic War.
A local resident organized parking for his jeep at the monument, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Since the video, made by Sevastopol residents outraged by the rudeness and disrespect for the history of the hero city, showed license plates, it was not difficult to identify the owner. The car owner assured law enforcement officers that he did not do this intentionally, and this will not happen again in the future.
“The police held a preventive conversation with the car owner about the inadmissibility of such activity. In addition, employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Sevastopol will prepare a letter to the relevant department of the city government about installing information signs at Sevastopol bunkers in order to avoid such incidents,” the Sevastopol police said.
PS After the news was published, a message from the Investigative Committee arrived:
“We have been instructed to immediately get involved in clarifying the circumstances of this incident.
As part of the inspection, all the circumstances of the incident will be established, materials from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol will be requested, and an assessment will be made of the actions of the driver, who through his actions expressed clear disrespect for the symbols of the military glory of Russia and the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland.
Based on the results of the inspection, a lawful, informed procedural decision will be made.”
