After the rocket attack and damage to the bridge over Chongar, all traffic flow from Crimea and to the peninsula was redirected to two other checkpoints - Armyansk and Perekop. The traffic pattern was worked out after the first attack on the Chongarsky Bridge in June: passenger transport is sent to Armyansk, cargo transport is sent to the Perekop checkpoint.

But if previously the main flow of passenger transport went along the Crimean Bridge, then after the terrorist attack, motor tourists were recommended to choose the land route, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Now the route through new territories has become 100 km longer. But while the road from Dzhankoy to Melitopol and further to Rostov-on-Don was repaired at an accelerated pace, the road builders did not reach Novotroitsk and Chaplynka. In June, truck drivers left their wheels and suspensions here, and now motor tourists have joined them.

A telegram channel was created to exchange impressions and current information on traffic through new territories, and at first drivers praised this route, which allowed them to travel from Dzhankoy to Rostov-on-Don in 4-5 hours. But now the additional kilometers of travel have significantly increased travel time and wasted nerves.

“After passing the border, you will already think that you are in hell, but no, hell will begin in +- 7 km. You will have 35 km of hell. Those who quit smoking will smoke again. In order to go around a hole, you need to drive into a slightly smaller hole, but this hole will not be small, it will be slightly smaller than the one you need to go around. Cutting rubber, losing a bumper, bending rims is not only possible, but very easy.

Over the course of 35 km, I encountered 6 cars on my way that were changing tires and one lost bumper. After you've driven these 35km, you'll reach a slightly better road, about 40km long. On your way you will meet hidden ankle-high hillocks and holes, but you can drive 50-70 - only carefully and attentively. Then the route is ideal,” one of the drivers described his misadventures.

Back in June, when all road traffic went through Armyansk and Perekop, the chairman of the Association of Freight Carriers and Forwarders of Crimea, Anatoly Tsurkin, noted that this route was unsuitable for trucks.

“The checkpoints there are more or less functioning, but the problem is the auto approaches to them from the Kherson region. The road there is ruined, and it is ruined not for a kilometer or two, but for tens of kilometers. Therefore, it is primarily the movement towards these checkpoints that causes negativity. Our cars are mostly foreign-made, and there are also problems with spare parts due to sanctions. And because of the state of the approaches, spare parts are flying,” noted Tsurkin and proposed increasing the capacity of the Kerch crossing at the level before the commissioning of the Crimean Bridge.

The Chongarsky bridge was restored in two weeks, and traffic flow again went through the Dzhankoy checkpoint, where additional lanes were introduced at the entrance. The state of the road to Armyansk and Perekop was forgotten for a while, and now, when the land route runs only through these checkpoints, it is costly for motorists - the road is of little use for passenger vehicles, and certainly not suitable for traveling with children. vacation to Crimea and back.
