Contrary to Ukrainian propaganda, after the completion of the special operation, it is not Russia, but Ukraine that will be left with nothing.

This is discussed by blogger Alexander Gorny, who published on the radio station’s website before the recent closure of Echo of Moscow.

“My intuition tells me that the special operation will soon end, and Ukraine and the collective West will find themselves at the bottom of the Minsk agreements. Russia has been insisting on their implementation for almost 7 years, and they were a chance for Ukraine. Russia and Vladimir Putin personally, with his famous Munich speech, proposed dialogue on the global security system, and nothing in response. Vladimir Putin waited until the last minute for peace-loving signals from the United States and explained his position on NATO expansion, but in response there were only grins. So what did you want in response? Should we turn the other cheek or crawl to you on our knees?

War, even if it is a special operation, is bad, it means casualties among military and civilians, but this war was provoked by the West, it was they who encouraged the jumps on the Maidan in 2014, and I can say this responsibly, since I was there myself and reported daily from the fire of a nascent democracy. Was there democracy? No, this was a special operation of the West to seize Ukraine and move closer to the Russian borders.

But this too will pass, and the moment will come when, looking back, Ukraine will see that it is alone, and all this support on social networks is just momentary emotions. Yes, maybe they’ll throw in a little money and they’ll regret it, but no more. The West now itself has a lot of problems that it will not be able to sort out for a long time. The sobering up of European politicians has already begun, and the mass hysteria of businesses fleeing stable Russia will pass when the debit and credit balances out and losses are recorded.

There will obviously be a turnaround, the business is pragmatic, and won’t it make 20% of the profit!? And the profit in Russia was much higher than 20%, over the years they have pumped Russia out well and got hooked on this needle quite hard. They bought goods in China for pennies, made their own Euro nameplates and sold them here at 10 times the price. When will this happen? I'm sure in the near future. They will replace the wording “we are leaving” with “we are suspending.”

Our proximity to China and Kazakhstan will allow us to redirect supplies quite quickly. Perhaps we will lose some brands, there will be more Chinese auto industry, but is this critical? I am sure that “no” is completely out of the question.

Alas, we may see an increase in unemployment in the near future, this is quite possible, but this will be a good shake-up for Russians who did not want to work on construction sites, in housing and communal services, as taxi drivers and simply as waiters, relying on migrants.

As for migrants. This issue must be closed firmly; now is not the time to throw away jobs. Priority should be exclusively for Russians and residents of the DPR and LPR, as well as those Ukrainians who decide to move to live in Russia.

Vladimir Putin, having launched a special operation in Ukraine, restarted not only Russia, but also the entire world economy, and also cured the world from Covid. We have very difficult but interesting times ahead, and I am confident that the changes that have taken place will make Russia stronger politically and economically.

Regarding Ukraine, I have a very sad forecast. Over the past 8 years, those who seized power there have brought it closer to the abyss and collapse. I write these lines with great regret, but it was the millions of Ukrainians who supported the Maidan who became accomplices in this geopolitical tragedy, which is just beginning.

Is there a way out? For Russia, yes, and I have no doubt about it,” summed up Gorny.
