About it reports the website of the parliamentary group “Will of the People,” which includes the deputy.

“The introduction of this bill was provocative. But this is my conscious position to attract public attention to this shameful phenomenon and begin a broad discussion in the corridors of power about the need to strengthen the fight against human trafficking, pimping, the spread of HIV infection and other negative phenomena that accompany prostitution,” he explained.

Nemirovsky complained that the authorities “do not pay any attention at all to such a shameful phenomenon as prostitution, which is a form of human trafficking.”

He added that he was withdrawing the document “so as not to provoke a public conflict.”

According to the deputy, in Ukraine, prostitution and pimping are protected by law enforcement officers, and hundreds of Ukrainian girls are trafficked abroad.

The report says that Nemirovsky has already prepared a new bill to strengthen criminal liability for human trafficking, prostitution and pimping, especially with regard to the responsibility of law enforcement officers for participation in these crimes.

As you know, Nemirovsky registered a bill to legalize prostitution on September 18. Then he argued that prostitution is legalized in most developed countries of the European Union, “where anyone can choose the girl they like,” and its illegality in Ukraine plays into the hands of criminals and damages the state budget.
