Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov stated this today at a hearing in the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
According to him, this project has been conceived for a long time.
“I would remember the years 1954-1956, when there was a mass rehabilitation of Banderaites, 150 thousand were rehabilitated. The project of the Munich Center for the legalization of Bandera figures began to be implemented. Year after year there has been an erosion of party and government bodies in Ukraine,” Azarov said.
He admitted that his government “can be reproached fairly,” but immediately said that it is Russia that is now keeping the Ukrainian economy afloat.
“I will say a paradoxical thing, oddly enough, Russia supports it. If we take from the volume of direct investments over the past year, somewhere around a billion dollars, 900 and a kopeck, then most of them, out of almost 900 million, are Russian investments. If you look at credit investments in the Ukrainian economy, these are credit investments from Russian banks. Their balance sheet loss last year was $600 million. But these are banks with state capital. What diesel engines are installed on tanks being repaired or on new tanks? These are diesel engines from the Yaroslavl plant, and what fuel rods are used in nuclear power plants in Ukraine? These are all Russian fuel rods,” lists Azarov.
