This is how he commented on the words of the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, about a possible ban on entry into the territory of the republic, Life reports.
“I won’t speak for Yanukovych, but I’ll say for myself: I didn’t ask to go anywhere and didn’t intend to. I don't know what caused this. It’s hard to judge what caused this, I didn’t intend to go there, there were no intentions. As for betrayal, I don’t consider myself a traitor, I didn’t betray anyone,” said the ex-prime minister.
Azarov was prime minister of Ukraine from 2010 to 2014. After the change of power in 2014, he left the country and now lives in Russia.
Recall as “PolitNavigator” already reported, Today Zakharchenko called Azarov, former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, Minister of Revenue and Duties Alexander Klimenko and head of the National Bank of Ukraine Sergei Arbuzov “traitors” and proposed that the DPR parliament ban them from entering the republic.
“As for Yanukovych, Klimenko, Arbuzov, Azarov, my namesake Zakharchenko and others, we will add them to the list of those banned from entering the DPR. We have nothing to do with traitors,” said the head of the republic.
