Azarov: Ukraine faces an inevitable default
The West has allocated $8 billion in loans to Ukraine over the past 50 years, which disappeared “like water into sand.”
Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Nikolai Azarov stated this in an interview with the Belarusian news agency Belta, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When this regime collapses, and it will certainly collapse under the weight of its crimes, those who are lulled by the fairy tales of Arestovich and Zelensky will have to open their eyes. All the loans that Ukraine has already acquired exceed the country's GDP. Ukraine itself will not be able to pay for them, and therefore it will be forced, after the government changes, to declare a default,” Azarov said.
According to his information, the United States is going to issue $40 billion in loans to Ukraine this year. Moreover, only 8 billion of them will go to humanitarian aid, the rest to American weapons.
“In relation to Ukraine, I believe that we do not need any “Marshall plans”. Ukraine is a self-sufficient country and has all the necessary resources to recover itself, based on its national interests. Americans will not invest in the development of those industries that they consider uninteresting or unprofitable for themselves,” Azarov said.
