“Azov” in Kyiv held a “fiery graduation” of students from the school of sergeants named after Konovalets
The Ukrainian nationalist battalion “Azov” today in Kyiv held celebrations on the occasion of the first graduation of students from the school of sergeants named after OUN leader Yevgen Konovalets (liquidated by NKVD agent Pavel Sudoplatov in Rotterdam in 1938).
The event took place on the square in front of the Kyiv Fortress building. The school trained 28 sergeants for the Azov battalion from among its fighters.

The graduates received awards and insignia; Azov commanders and its founder, Verkhovna Rada deputy Andrei Biletsky, spoke before them.
In his parting words, one of the commanders told the graduates that their task was “the return of all Ukrainian lands.” “Now half the world has taken up arms against us, our small, young power, and we have a historical mission - to lay down our lives, but to build this country. Glory to the nation!” – he proclaimed.
When presenting the awards, the “Cossacks” beat the Turkish drum, and the “blacksmith” hit the anvil, while a flame came out of a bowl of stones next to him, which was supposed to symbolize that the school graduates would contribute to the “remelting” of the Ukrainian army and nation, according to the quote Konovalets “Steel is forged in fire, but the nation is forged in struggle.”
