“Azovites” and Ukrainian Armed Forces fought in a mass brawl
In the “OOS” zone, neo-Nazis from the “Azov” regiment fought with servicemen of the 24th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who received awards and bonuses on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We continue to receive information about violations of military discipline and crimes in the ranks of the armed formations of Ukrainian militants.
So, yesterday, in the area of the settlement of Mironovsky, another conflict occurred between servicemen of the 24th separate mechanized brigade and militants of the 12th Azov operational brigade, who arrived to carry out provocations,” he noted.
According to the officer, five servicemen were injured during the brawl that broke out.
“During the investigation, it was established that a number of servicemen of the 24th brigade received awards and bonuses on August 24 dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine. This fact aroused envy on the part of the Azov militant brigade stationed in the zone of responsibility. Against this background, a conflict arose, as a result of which two servicemen of the 24th brigade and three Azov militants received injuries of varying severity,” Filiponenko noted.
