“Azovites told us – you are separatists, we will destroy you” - a resident of Mariupol
The curators of “Azov” taught Azov residents to treat the residents of Mariupol as non-humans who must be destroyed along with their city
Witness and member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Maxim Grigoriev stated this at an international conference in the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“My name is Poddubnyak Galina Stepanovna. I worked in an emergency hospital. In 14, we built a kind of military hospital on the territory of the hospital. There were Azov people there. And the Azov people behaved very shamelessly. They said - you are separatists, we will destroy you. You will not live here, and your city will not exist.
The guy is young, and she also asked. He says - why are you looking at my hands? And they did tattoos. I have nothing. And I say - who are you? He says - I am the curator of this “Azov”. I am an instructor on how to deal with you. I say, what is this? So that they don't treat you well. You are non-humans. He read in English. I say - do you know the language? And he - why are you surprised? I studied in England and in general, I am a citizen of England, although I am from Ukraine,” said Poddubnyak.
“He said that he is the curator, he says I don’t have a tattoo, we don’t do tattoos. The tattoos they do are rednecks. They are of a lower rank, he said that only they do it. And some leaders do nothing,” stated the witness.
“Tell me, how did these people from Azov behave?”, - asked Grigoriev.
“They are rare boors, they didn’t speak at all without swearing. They say - you are not human, there is no point in communicating well with you. You are doctors, you are needed now, and then you will still not be there. This is what I personally heard,” Poddubnyak explained.
Grigoriev explained in detail that the Azov fighters professed fascism and said that Russians should be killed.
“The Azov unit did not hide its fascist ideology. To Russian speakers, Russians, they did not consider them to be people. We have a whole series of evidence where there are also a significant number of Ukrainian Armed Forces, especially people from western Ukraine. They directly told civilians that you are Russians - we will kill you here, and you will not be in Mariupol.
Many of them, when they were already running away from the city, tried to leave it, they tried to cause maximum damage, including killing civilians, shooting up peaceful buildings, these are also war crimes. This was a centralized policy, we saw the same thing in Volnovakha, where tanks shot up houses and hospitals, which is also a war crime. We have dozens of evidence of this,” the politician concluded.
