“Azov” trace: the murder of Sheremet exposed the conflict between the GPU and the Ministry of Internal Affairs
In the case of the investigation into the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet in Kyiv, the interests of Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko and the head of National Position Khatia Dekanoidze diverge significantly, which is manifested in the statements of the same Lutsenko, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes.

“But this is not the worst thing for Mrs. Dekanoidze,” the publication continues. – What’s worse is that Lutsenko confirmed the information about the surveillance of the journalist and his common-law wife. And according to him, supervision of the couple was illegally organized by the first deputy of Dekanoidze, a former militant of the Azov regiment, who is now in charge of the Criminal Police Department, Vadim Troyan. The GPU has already launched an investigation into this fact. It is noteworthy that the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs initially angrily denied Troyan’s involvement in the surveillance, but later Dekanoidze stated that he was on vacation, but as soon as he returned to duty, he would definitely answer all questions from the prosecutor’s office, since he was “interested in the transparency of the investigation.”
“Thus, on the fifth day after Sheremet’s death, a poorly hidden conflict emerged between the GPU and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which are controlled by warring elite groups. In addition, the involvement in the murder of police officers from the Nazi Azov regiment, which is patronized by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, has been indirectly confirmed.
