The liberal's initiative caused caustic comments on the Internet. Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Golub stood up for Babchenko.
“And why is everyone so mocking at Babchenko, who offered to exchange himself for Sentsov? Someone, and he, better than anyone, understands that it’s better in a Russian prison than in a Ukrainian SBU bunker,” Golub explained.
