Babitsky: Kuchma and Zelensky are an integral part of Poroshenko’s system
The reappointment of Ukrainian ex-president Leonid Kuchma as Kyiv's representative at the Minsk negotiations will not bring any progress, since the Ukrainian system itself is not set up to implement peace agreements.
This opinion was expressed to a PolitNavigator correspondent by the famous Russian journalist Andrei Babitsky.
“He was already a representative in the negotiations, and nothing was moving. Judging by Zelensky’s statements, the positions of the Ukrainian authorities have not moved a millimeter to the side, so little depends on personalities. Here is the logic of the system. The system does not accept the Minsk negotiations, and is not going to implement them, so no matter what names are shuffled on the list, this will not lead to any changes.
The same combination is made that did not work. There is no goal at all. Zelensky has already said many times that no special status, no amnesty, revision of the Minsk agreements. In this sense, his position is not at all different from Poroshenko’s,” the expert concluded.
Let us remember that earlier Andrei Babitsky also stated that the new President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will be the same nationalist Russophobe as his predecessor Petro Poroshenko, differing only in "shade of brown".
