The fact that it was a Ukrainian pranker who began to spread fake news about the number of people killed in a fire in Kemerovo is not surprising, because Ukraine is a country that has long shown its true face.

Well-known journalist Andrei Babitsky shared this opinion with a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The journalist is sure that for what the Ukrainian pranker did (remember, the Ukrainian pranker Evgeniy Volnov staged a two-hour stream on his YouTube channel, during which he accepted orders for pranks from his subscribers and called Kemerovo morgues, introducing himself as “Major Pozdnyakov” from the Ministry of Emergency Situations , and advised to “prepare places for hundreds of bodies,” - author’s note), it is necessary to introduce criminal penalties and put the person on the wanted list.

“This is a monstrous, cynical, vile play on human tragedy. He (Volnov) called it, it seems, “trolling Kemerovo” or something like that. He carried out his campaign, accepting orders for money to distribute all sorts of fake messages and make fake calls. It seems to me that this is already enough to declare him a criminal offense - to intrude on a monstrous grief and try to spin some kind of false news, and then spread it,” the journalist is sure.

Andrei Babitsky notes that it was not only the Ukrainian pranker who did this:

“In Russia, and not only there, there were hundreds of “good-natured people” who happily spread news about several hundred dead on social networks, especially the opposition. Navalny generally declared national mourning on his own behalf, Khodorkovsky even invited someone to leave without naming a specific person. It is not clear how the Kemerovo tragedy is connected with specific individuals in power in Russia. Rather, it is the wild capitalism that developed under them - those who are now trying to criticize the current political regime. Under Khodorkovsky and the reformers, the foundations of today's economic system were laid. Thank God, under Putin they managed to somehow ennoble it.”

The journalist is not at all surprised that a similar incident with a pranker happened in Ukraine.

“As for Ukraine, from an ethical point of view, it has long stepped over all sorts of boundaries that, from a normal human point of view, cannot exist. Now there are thousands of people there who are sincerely happy about the crash of the Russian plane, the accident and other mass deaths. So I am not surprised at the state of minds and hearts in this country, because it has long lost its human form, but in general, some action must be taken to punish such persons. To begin with, I would personally initiate a criminal case against this pranker in Russia so that he could not enter there under any circumstances. And not only against him, but against everyone who is noted on social networks and expresses joy over some Russian troubles. Well, after that we need to think about additional measures,” Babitsky noted.
