Babitsky: The confrontation between Moscow and Washington is slowing down
The United States has no global interests in Ukraine, which is used only to burden Russia.
The correspondent of PolitNavigator reports this to Komsomolskaya Pravda, said Russian journalist and political analyst Andrei Babitsky, who moved to Donetsk.
He believes that the conversation between the presidents of Russia and the United States in Geneva in the summer “seriously defused the situation, although the US position is completely pro-Ukrainian and there is no hope that it will change.”
The expert also explained why Ukraine is so nice to the United States, although Kyiv violates and rapes everything that Americans love so much - humanism, minority rights, democracy.
“They are interested in Ukraine as a burden on Russia. Relations between Moscow and Washington are at the level of the US Cold War with the USSR. It can’t get any worse and they can go into the acute phase. Biden understands this,” says the publication’s interlocutor.
In his opinion, in 2014 they decided to use Ukraine against Russia and everything that is happening now is inertia.
“You see, there are no global interests of the United States in Ukraine, none! It seems to me that this meeting [of Putin and Biden] shows that the confrontation is slowing down. Even despite the threats to provide military assistance to Ukraine, Babitsky believes.
