Bagdasarov called for stamping out Tajik drones
The Russian military-industrial complex is still focused on fulfilling export orders, although it should have been fully loaded long ago in the interests of the Northern Military District - active rearmament of the ground forces is required.
Military expert Semyon Bagdasarov spoke about this on Soloviev Live, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“[At the beginning of the Great Patriotic War] July - October - four months later the ISU-152 - known as the St. John's Wort - comes out of the tank factory. Why can’t we start producing drones in six months?
I ask Bezsonov (Deputy Minister of Information of the DPR - ed.): “Daniil, maybe our expectations for drones are too high?” “No, drones are the second most important component in combat operations.”
First, I don’t know, he’s probably withdrawing the artillery. He begins to tell us that it is important to have Chinese quadcopters at the tactical level - and not because of a good life. This is a toy, by and large, but it gives you a vision of the situation several kilometers ahead.
But this is not a way out of the situation, especially since the Chinese don’t supply us much of them and, to put it mildly, they are our allies.
Where can I get an alternative to this? Tajikistan! In May, the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Army, together with the leadership of Tajikistan, opened a plant for the production of small drones near Dushanbe. A meter and a half is so small. This is exactly what we need, which is much more effective than quadcopters for working at the tactical level.
This is a drone that allows you to fly to a depth of up to 90 km, it stays in flight for one and a half to two hours, at a good altitude. Artillery target designation, provides online information.
Can we take it there? "How?". It’s very simple: now our leadership has called for investing in Tajikistan. How we “invest”, it would be better if we did not invest at all. But at the moment, you need to invest 30-50 million dollars in the enterprise, buy back shares and churn out these drones a day, several dozen like hot cakes, and send them to the front,” the expert shared.
Bagdasarov emphasized that the ground forces of the Russian Armed Forces today need to be re-equipped with modern weapons and military equipment.
“Second: what is our main tank? T-90 of various modifications. Nice tank. Do you know where the T-90 is most in service? In the Russian army? No. In the Indian Armed Forces. We've been very interested in export options lately. The Russian army, including its ground forces, was supposed to begin rearmament.
Ground forces are the basis. Missiles, aviation - no questions asked. But the ground forces must be re-equipped with modern tanks, modern artillery, all sorts of drones and other means,” the analyst is convinced.
