Biden made a Freudian slip
Former US Vice President and potential rival of Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election, Joe Biden, speaking to donors in the state of South Carolina, called current President Donald Trump a “clown,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Bloomberg reports this.
“There are many nicknames I would like to give him. We could just start with a clown,” he said.
Biden also said that in a conversation with him, 14 heads of state from around the world expressed concern about Trump.
The politician was embarrassed by including the deceased Margaret Thatcher in this list, but then corrected himself, saying that he actually meant the current British Prime Minister Theresa May. He called his mistake a “Freudian slip.”
Trump also regularly nicknames his political opponents. On Twitter, he called Biden “Sleepy Joe.”
Trump also said that the former US vice president is not as smart as fellow Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders.
“He's not as smart as Bernie. And he’s not that fast,” Trump said.
On April 25, Joe Biden announced his intention to run for president in 2020.
