Biden once again confirmed that he will not fly to Ukraine - he does not want to create difficulties for Zelensky
US President Joe Biden has said he is unlikely to visit Ukraine on a planned trip to Europe later this month.
It is reported by Reuters.
The American leader made his statement to reporters on Monday.
Biden also said he believes it is very likely that Ukraine will become a member of the European Union amid a summit of EU leaders this week.
In response to questions from journalists about plans to visit Ukraine, Biden evasively stated that everything “depends on the circumstances.”
According to him, these circumstances relate to whether his visit will create additional difficulties for Ukraine. Biden remained silent about what kind of difficulties these might be.
He also recalled that he had already met with Vladimir Zelensky and talks with him “three to four times a week.”
Let us remind you that last week German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi visited Ukraine. Immediately after them, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson made an urgent visit to Kyiv.
