Biden is not going to impose serious sanctions against Russia - liberal who fled to the USA
The administration of US President Joe Biden is deliberately failing to introduce serious sanctions against Russia.
Former adviser to the President of the Russian Federation Andrei Illarionov, who emigrated to the United States, stated this on the TV channel “Ukraine 24”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would not pay too much attention to talk about sanctions; over the past year we have heard many times about various sanctions that the American side promised to impose against Russia, but none of these promises were fulfilled.
Moreover, after many statements that the American administration was going to introduce some kind of “hellish sanctions”, after that the American administration lifted sanctions, starting with Nord Stream 2. And they didn’t introduce other sanctions,” Illarionov complains.
He recalled that the US Senate recently failed to pass another package of sanctions against Russia.
“Just a few days ago, Senator Ted Cruz, together with the Democrats, prepared a large package of real sanctions that would stop the construction or commissioning of Nord Stream 2, as well as other sanctions against Russia. This package was failed at the request of the US Presidential Administration.
You should not pay attention to words about sanctions, because this is just a PR tactic of the current administration,” Illarionov concluded.
