Biden approved the disruption of the Minsk agreements by the Ukrainian side
Outgoing US Vice President Joe Biden, during a visit to Kyiv, supported the position of Petro Poroshenko, who refuses to implement the political part of the Minsk agreements under the pretext that the fighting in Donbass does not stop.
“The political part of the agreement cannot be implemented until Russian violence stops,” Biden said at a joint news conference with Poroshenko.

“Ukraine, like every country in Europe, has the right to determine its own path. But the Russian Federation is striving to resist. Therefore, the international community must stand as one against aggression and coercive practices,” the American also said.
“Implement energy reforms to eliminate dependence on Russian gas,” Biden urged.
According to him, anti-Russian “sanctions should remain until the Russian Federation returns Crimea to Ukraine.”
“Americans and Ukrainians share close ties. We have common values. A lot depends on your success, not only for Ukrainians, but also for Europe and the United States,” Biden emphasized.
