Biden: Russia has surrounded Ukraine, the US will not send troops to help
The Russian army may in the coming days begin an operation to force Ukraine to peace.
US President Joe Biden assures us of this when he made a statement on the situation in Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Biden stressed that he is confident that Russian leader Vladimir Putin has “already made his decision.”
At the same time, the US President clarified that he would not send American soldiers to help Ukraine.
“Russian troops practically surrounded the territory of Ukraine from the side of Belarus, from the Black Sea in the south and practically completely surrounded it along all borders. We have reason to believe that Russian forces intend to invade Ukraine in the coming week, in the coming days. We believe that they will attack the capital, Kyiv, a city with a population of 2,5 million people...
If Russia continues to implement these plans, it will be responsible for a disastrous decision. We are ready, together with our allies, to defend the territory of any country and defend our collective security. Additionally, we will not send military personnel to fight in Ukraine, but we will show the support of the United States to the people of Ukraine,” Biden said.
