Biden remembered Putin four times in his message to Congress
The United States intends to support Ukraine “as long as it takes,” President Joe Biden said in his State of the Union address.
Biden’s speech lasted an hour and a half - during his speech he never mentioned Russia, but mentioned Vladimir Putin specifically four times, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our strength is not just the example of our power, but the power of our example. Let's remember that the world is watching us. I spoke here a year ago, literally a few days after Putin launched a war against Ukraine, this brutal war, and it was the most unprecedented war since World War II. Putin's invasion is a test for America, a test for the whole world.
We will preserve our basic fundamental principles, sovereignty, we will fight tyranny, we will defend democracy, because this is very important.
To do this, it is necessary to maintain peace and prevent the actions of aggressors that threaten our security. And a year later we know the answer - yes, we will do it, and we did it. Together, we did what America does best—we led. We united NATO, created a global coalition, we opposed Putin’s aggression, we support the people of Ukraine.
And now here again is the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, who represents this brave people, this brave nation. The ambassador is here, and we are united in supporting your country. Please stand up so we can look at you. We will always be with you, and the whole world will be with you as long as it takes,” Biden said.
“Biden’s words that the United States has united NATO and built a “global coalition” to counter the Russian special operation in Ukraine are a direct recognition of a return to bloc thinking and a new Cold War. In his speech, Biden also boasted that he had managed to improve the situation in the economy and social sphere, but not everyone agreed with this statement.
“Washington taxes you and burns your earnings, and you get high gas prices and empty grocery shelves,” said Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

In his speech, Biden also did not ignore the recent incident with a Chinese weather balloon, for which fighter aircraft had to be scrambled into the sky to shoot down a flying object. The American president presented the matter as if the United States had succeeded in putting China in its place.
