“Biden is ashamed. Someday we will send F-16s to Ukraine” - Herbst
A number of countries that are not afraid to transfer weapons to Ukraine make the US administration feel ashamed and join in the supply.
Former US Ambassador to Ukraine John Herbst said this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the diplomat, the United States each time initially refuses, but then transfers the weapons requested by Ukraine, and the same will happen with the fighters.
“The characteristic of the Biden administration is a slow and timid attitude towards real and necessary requests from the Ukrainian side for arms supplies. We have already seen this characteristic for a whole year.
Usually they refuse to supply weapons that Ukraine requests, then after a few weeks or months they change their minds and send, as happened now with tanks, before that with Patriots, before that with MiGs, before that with missiles that can attack ships, and so on further,” said the ex-ambassador.
“The courage of several of our NATO allies, especially the UK, the Netherlands, Poland. Because of their boldness, the Biden administration is ashamed and this is also affecting the administration. We only send, for example, missiles against ships after England sent. This was last spring. Therefore, I am confident that at some point we will send F-16s, but I don’t know when exactly,” Herbst said.
