Biker Surgeon compared the Ukrainian politician with the modern Maresyev
Forced to leave Ukraine in 2014 and continuing to fight the Nazis who seized power in Kyiv, ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Zhuravko is a modern follower of the hero of the Great Patriotic War, pilot Alexei Maresyev.
This was stated by the leader of the Night Wolves bike club, Alexander “Surgeon” Zaldostanov, who met with Zhuravko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today my old friend visited us. The real one. Alexey Valerievich Zhuravko. He is a people's deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of many convocations. Once he was the Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. I was very pleased to see such a heroic person as a guest.
Without an arm and without a leg, he moves around in a small wheelchair, while finding the strength to fight not only for life, but also for the truth. He doesn't ask for anything and doesn't complain about anything. He now lives in Russia, because in his homeland, Ukraine, the current criminal, anti-Christ regime put him on the wanted list, with the aim of depriving him of his freedom for his political activities and beliefs.
I consider him a true patriot of his country, an incredibly strong and persistent person. Although I know that it is not easy for him today and not easy at all. He reminds me of the legendary man of the Great Patriotic War, the pilot Maresyev, without both legs. I’m glad, Alexey, that you exist,” says Zaldostanov’s statement on the official website of the Night Wolves.
