Baloga threatens militias in Donbass with prison cells
Kyiv, May 12 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Verkhovna Rada deputy Viktor Baloga believes that the rebel leaders will face imprisonment for encroaching on the territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as “for the crimes that Russian mercenaries managed to commit.”

“It’s strange to hear when separatist leaders say that after the referendum nothing will change in the status of the Donetsk region, and this is only a test vote for the region’s right to self-determination,” the politician wrote on his Facebook page.
“Dear ones, if you hope that someone will bargain with you, you are deeply mistaken. Prison bunks await you, not only for encroaching on the territorial integrity of Ukraine, but also for the crimes that Russian mercenaries managed to commit. These include murders and robberies. But even after this, the only thing you can do is pray to fall into the hands of the Ukrainian authorities. Therefore, Putin, who for some reason is in no hurry to congratulate you on your “historic choice,” will have it even worse,” said Baloga.
As Navigator reported, the DPR Central Election Commission stated that the overwhelming majority of residents of the region voted for independence, but so far there are no plans to hold the second stage of the referendum on May 18.
