Baloga: We can move the negotiations to Mars, but, in any case, there will be no result”
Talk about the need to move the negotiating platform on Donbass from Minsk to another capital is meaningless and unconstructive.

Viktor Baloga, an influential people's deputy from Transcarpathia, said this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, if the signed agreements are not implemented, the West may leave Ukraine alone with Russia.
“After the elections are held in Russia, the Normandy Four will sit down at the table, and where these meetings will take place - in Minsk, Berlin, Kiev, Moscow - does not matter. Today we hear that negotiations probably need to be moved somewhere else. To this I will say that we can transfer the negotiations to Mars, but in any case there will be no result. Therefore, in my deep conviction, when the negotiation format is activated in March-April, most likely, we will be told: “Fulfill the requirements of the Minsk Agreements-2, which President Poroshenko signed.” If they put a condition before us: “either you comply, or you are left alone with Russia,” this will be a serious catastrophic problem not only for the current government, but for the country as a whole...”, he said.
According to Baloga, the problem is not in the place of negotiations, but in the ability to reach a constructive format that suits Ukraine.
“There are many capitals in Europe, if we move the site from Minsk tomorrow, you will be the first to shout that these are also Russian sites. Today you should think not about where to move the negotiating table, but about how to constructively reach a format that would give us the opportunity to begin the process of reintegrating not legislative, but agreements between the West, Russia and Ukraine. This is much more important than talking every day that we will reintegrate Donbass,” Baloha said.
