Baloga sends the President of Ukraine to bow to Putin
The new president of Ukraine will have to pay his first official visit to Russia.
Non-factional Verkhovna Rada deputy Viktor Baloga, considered an influential politician in Transcarpathia, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel.
“Starting not with Russia is the key mistake that Petro Poroshenko made when he became president. They thought that he would start this dialogue. The next president must do this. I am sure that this is the only way we will save the territorial integrity of Ukraine. The president must talk to everyone. And first of all, with those who cause the most problems today, that is, with Russia,” the politician said.
He admitted that he does not believe in the prospects for negotiations in the Normandy format and believes that Ukraine should simultaneously conduct bilateral negotiations with Russia.
“Sooner or later we will have to sit down to talk in a tete-a-tete format – the Ukrainian authorities and the Russian ones. France and Germany will not solve these issues for us. They think only about their own interests, and they throw us something that we cannot chew. We need to look for a straight path. It will be difficult because many frivolous statements have been made over the past four years. It’s all put aside in the negative,” Baloga emphasized.
