Baloga – Poroshenko: The consequences for concessions under the Minsk agreements will be worse than those of Yanukovych
Petro Poroshenko continues to hide his agreements within the framework of the Normandy Four meeting in Paris, acting by analogy with his predecessor Viktor Yanukovych, who until the last hid his refusal to associate with the EU, and ultimately received Euromaidan in Kyiv. This time, the consequences for Poroshenko could be even more tragic, warns Verkhovna Rada deputy Viktor Baloga.

“It is the fourth day since the leaders of France and Germany confronted us with a fait accompli regarding the concessions that Ukraine must make. No one has officially refuted the statements of Francois Hollande and Angela Merkel; all that this government could do was a few cartoonish statements by the majority deputies on the topic of what “zrada” and “peremog” are. In a word, kindergarten level.
At the same time, if the president considers it appropriate to explain something, then for some reason only to the leaders of the factions in the Verkhovna Rada. It’s as if no one else lives or intends to live in this country except them.
But a scapegoat, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, is sent to parliament for a report, as if it was he, and not President Poroshenko, who negotiated with the leaders of France and Germany. That is, as in November 2013, the fate of a nation of 45 million is being decided by a limited circle of people, with the hope that the people will swallow it.
And when people are presented with a fact, then the lid will be blown off again, and the situation will become uncontrollable. Perhaps with even more tragic consequences than the last time. History has never taught anyone anything,” Baloga wrote on his Facebook page.
