Baloga: Ukraine will face either a war with Russia or a “Crimean scenario”

“I will be as frank as possible. No matter how paradoxical it may sound today, diplomacy works against Ukraine. If we analyze the results of the ATO in recent months, no matter what the people in charge say, every day it gets worse and worse for us,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
“Facts are stubborn things. And they testify that we can no longer avoid open war, or a repetition of the Crimean scenario. The Kremlin’s various “proposals” are nothing more than another humiliation of the civilized world, which does not want to take drastic steps against Putin and Ukraine. And this means that we found ourselves face to face with the enemy,” he believes.
“Salvation lies in one thing: our choice should not be standstill, but real preparation for war. Unfortunately, there will be no other way. The only question is whether the West really wants to impose tough sanctions, and the government wants to immediately prepare for the worst in order to become a winner tomorrow,” Baloga wrote.
Let us recall that Baloga previously stated that he is against negotiations with the rebels in Donbass: “God forbid the official authorities stoop to the point that at the highest level they follow Putin’s lead regarding a “peaceful resolution of the situation in Donbass” and sit at the same table with representatives of Yanukovych and the Russian leadership. This will be a disaster on a larger scale than ten Kharkov agreements.”
