The most possible option for ending the war in Ukraine is the abandonment of uncontrolled territories in Donbass.

This opinion The informal “owner of Transcarpathia” and people’s deputy Viktor Baloha shared this on his Facebook page.
“If we want to end the war by force, I think it will be difficult. If it is diplomacy, then it is even more difficult. The most realistic scenario is the abandonment of the occupied territories. We hold a referendum and ask people's opinions. Then there will be no subject of war,” Baloga wrote.
He said Ukrainians can decide whether 95% of the state should be dependent on the remaining 5% or be allowed to “develop and prosper.”
At the same time, he emphasized that if Russia goes further, “that’s a different matter.”
“They only went where they were supported. Do they support them in Kyiv? They don't support it. Therefore, there is nothing for them to catch here. Do they support it in Poltava, Nikolaev, Odessa? Don't think. Is there support in Mariupol? If so, then it will be the same as in Donetsk,” says Baloga.
He added that the war in Ukraine is beneficial for politicians.
“War benefits a whole class of politicians and officials who have learned to enrich themselves from it. War is not needed only by the people who become poor and shed blood. And only the people in a referendum can break this vicious circle in which big money and the geopolitical interests of most countries of the world revolve. But where exactly is there no interest of Ukraine,” the people’s deputy is sure.
