“Bandera and Nazis” - a political scientist delved into the varieties of Ukrainianness
There are two types of Nazism in Ukraine – Bandera’s rural one and “Aryan” racial one.
Russian journalist and political scientist Alexey Kochetkov stated this on Radio Aurora, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The VO “Svoboda” with “Azov” (banned in the Russian Federation) and others used to have such silent friction, mutual dislike. You have to understand that the “National Corps” - now Biletsky - is trying to speak Ukrainian, and they are all trying to switch to language, but they are from a Russian-speaking environment, they are all Russian speakers, the whole elite... They all spoke Russian at home until recently.
And the Galicians are an autochthonous Western Ukrainian population, and even then, they are represented by a small part - those who consider themselves heirs of Bandera. Objectively speaking, “Azov” is not Bandera’s followers,” Kochetkov said.
According to him, “Azov” and the core from which other similar groups were formed are neo-Nazis.
“These are pure Nazis - with all the attributes, with all the occult rituals, with neo-paganism, with swastikas, with racial theory. Galicians do not have a racial theory; they are peasants. And these decided that they were the successors of the Great Reich. Although, they don’t want to hear anything about what place they would actually occupy if this Reich were established, and they would trample this planet altogether, but that doesn’t matter,” the political scientist explained.
“Why else is there such a serious conflict and a sharp and final division between those who call themselves Russian nationalists and those who supported Azov - the Nazis.
Because for the Nazis, the bulk of the Russian population, the population of Russia, are the same cattle and subhumans. Because the real white Aryans are that small group of people who zig and inflict swastikas on themselves everywhere.
And all the rest are like that - the mass, these are Finno-Ugrians, it’s not clear who they are, we need to take a small part of them, which will be the bulk of the masters. And everything else is biomass, it is generally unworthy. How can you have anything in common with such people?” – Kochetkov added.
