Ukrainian users of social networks are shocked by the second place taken by Russian representative Polina Gagarina at the Eurovision Song Contest. In this regard, a lot of exotic versions appear on social networks as to why the Russian woman was able to take such a high place, and Europe was so “not a partner” in relation to the Ukrainians that they voted for the “Russian aggressor”, and not, for example, for Ukraine.

Ukrainian nationalist Sergei Barsky from Odessa came to the conclusion that Gagarina’s participation in Eurovision and her “silver” was a planned special operation of the Russian special services. This is what he wrote about on his Facebook page.

“I have no doubt that Gagarina’s result is a planned special operation of the Russian Federation to show the whole world that Russia, despite its aggression, is still loved and supported,” writes a nationalist from Odessa.

In his opinion, “poor and backward” (as Ukrainian propagandists claim) Russia is, nevertheless, a rich enough country to “buy” the love of citizens of other countries, including European ones.

“Agree that for the Kremlin, throwing hundreds of millions of dollars on propaganda, it didn’t cost anything to find people in each of the voting countries to get the voting result they wanted - 1st place for Gagarina (and there is no doubt that they wanted 1st place), this was extremely important for them,” Barsky develops his conspiracy theory.

However, the Ukrainian nationalist consoles himself and his Facebook followers with the fact that, in his opinion, “the Russian world has failed again” and Gagarina’s song is “mediocre.”

“But the propagandists of the Russian world once again miscalculated and there weren’t enough votes, and now they have to show their joy at second place. But who needs such a second place? And the song is very mediocre,” writes a nationalist from Odessa.

If everything is so simple, then why couldn’t the special services of “rich and democratic” Ukraine carry out a special operation and bring the representative of Ukraine to at least third place in the competition (not to mention second), the national conspiracy theorist from Odessa writes.
