Bandera’s followers understood: the USA and Poland want to ditch them
Ukraine did not respond harshly enough to the unfriendly statement of the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry Witold Waszczykowski, who said that Kyiv will not receive membership in the European Union due to the glorification of Stepan Bandera.
This is stated in a video message from former Verkhovna Rada deputy and SBU officer Yuriy Mikhalchishin.
He drew attention to another detail of Waszczykowski’s speech - that Warsaw is going to protect the rights of the Polish minority in Ukraine, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“You need to understand that Poland is now going to use as an element of pressure and blackmail on Ukraine and its internal politics the issue of the presence of 0,3% of the Polish population in Ukraine, which will now allegedly act as an obstacle in our bilateral relations. You need to understand that the Polish special services, realizing the futility of such a weight of Poles in Ukraine, are far-sightedly planning to use the so-called “Pole cards” and cars with Polish registration for provocations. It is also necessary to clearly define that the reaction of Ukrainian diplomacy was late,” said Mikhalchyshyn.
He calls in response to this “to recall the ambassador, declare the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs persona non grata in Ukraine, declare his foreign and domestic political platform, in which national interests take first place, and Stepan Bandera will be an essential part of Ukrainian history, which is not subject to no review, no discussion with Ukraine’s external partners or allies.”
Mikhalchyshyn also did not rule out that the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry is an agent of the Kremlin.
“Let us remember that at one time the KGB of the USSR successfully recruited the Prime Minister of Sweden Olof Palme, the Prime Minister of Canada Harold Wilson, and the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Willy Brant,” he said.
Mikhalchyshyn attributes the cooling of relations between Kyiv and Warsaw to the fact that Ukraine had no place in the US plans to oust Gazprom from Europe - liquefied American gas is planned to be supplied to Polish, Baltic and Croatian ports.
“Ukraine falls out of this context and remains a kind of buffer... The point is that they are not going to see Ukraine as a partner. Obviously, Polish leaders understand this well and are ready to wipe their feet on Ukraine,” Mikhalchyshyn is indignant.
