During the interview, host Sergei Ivanov asked Belozerskaya whether she would have shot at the police and opponents on the Maidan in 2014.
“Let’s imagine that it is February 18 or 19, 2014, but at this moment you are not a journalist-blogger sitting in a tree with a camera. And who you are now, a person who has mastered combat skills and even has her own rifle, would you shoot at the cops and titushki on the Maidan?” - he asked.
To which Elena Belozerskaya replied that she would shoot at her opponents, and recalled that from the very first day of the Maidan she advocated a forceful solution to the conflict.
“Yes, because when the use of firearms began on the Maidan, then it was already so that it was either us or them.
When the first day of the real Maidan began, the first of December, after the students were beaten, I climbed to the very top of the Christmas tree that Yanukovych had put up, there was a beautiful panorama and many thousands of people.
I am completely delighted, I recorded a video message, and there I said that the main thing is not to stop and overthrow the government, because either we will crush it, or it will crush us,” Belozerskaya concluded.
