Bandera's Ukraine was formed. The population has come to terms
The population of Ukraine has come to terms with the victory of Bandera’s idea. Ukrainians are not ready to fight for the return of the rights of Russian speakers. Moreover, the persecution of supporters of a compromise with Donbass no longer causes any protest.
Donetsk sociologist Evgeniy Kopatko stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Regarding “Minsk” and everything connected with it, the fact that it actually does not exist, yes, but in Ukrainian society there is no desire to return Donbass. A lot of sociology is coming out now - Rating, KIIS, Razumkov, and a lot of things. Firstly, the majority of Ukrainians are not ready for Donbass to return to Ukraine on equal terms. They did not support Fokin’s speech, this also happened all around, this also needs to be understood.
Indeed, Ukrainian society is, in principle, not ready to accept Donbass. I looked at a lot of sociology, now a lot is being taught, and not only electoral history. But Ukrainian society, in principle, accepted the fact that from September 1, the Russian language was banned in Ukraine; there will be no illusions about radical changes,” Kopatko noted.
“My key idea is that there will be no third Maidan. Because the second one won, Ukraine worked out, that’s it,” he believes.
Nevertheless, the sociologist pointed out, Ukrainians do not want a repetition of the Maidan scenario in neighboring Belarus. Therefore, the Verkhovna Rada’s decision to not recognize Lukashenko’s victory was made to please the West, and not the sentiments of the population, Kopatko explained.
“The majority of Ukrainians are against the idea of a Ukrainian version in Belarus, the overwhelming majority - both Reds and Whites. People are not ready for this option to pass.
But after the Supreme Council did a really vile thing, considering that Lukashenko did nothing bad to Ukraine after Minsk. Considering that Russia has more to be offended by, I believe that he will not forgive such things,” the sociologist added.
