It is interesting that this year, in addition to traditional anti-Russian slogans, there were also attacks against Poland, which, as is known, criticizes the glorification of the OUN-UPA in Ukraine, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The procession participants chanted “Ukraine is above all”, “Poland will not be here”, “Our land, our heroes”, “Bandera, Shukhevych are the heroes of Ukraine”, “Remember, stranger, the Ukrainian is the master here”, “Remember the heroes, destroy the enemies” .
The head of the nationalist party “Freedom” Oleg Tyagnibok called for following the example of Bandera, who gave the order to kill the Soviet consul in Lvov, allegedly to avenge the so-called. “Holodomor” - famine in the Ukrainian SSR, and then members of the OUN committed another terrorist attack - an assassination attempt on the Polish minister in retaliation for the Polonization of Galicia.
“Bandera was not afraid of the consequences. He understood what he was doing when he gave the order... The war crossed out any compromises for us, for the Ukrainians,” Tyagnibok said.
