Such a promise was made in Kyiv during the celebrations dedicated to the anniversary of the birth of the leader of one of the branches of the OUN, Stepan Bandera, by the leader of the VO “Svoboda” Oleg Tyagnibok, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The speaker is convinced that the new government, like the previous one, is trying, together with the communists, to eliminate the spirit of Bandera, but is confident in its indestructibility.
“And no matter how the commies or other powerful henchmen try to destroy the spirit of Bandera, this spirit lives on,” says the nationalist politician. – If not for Bandera, Maidan would not have won. The revolution of dignity would not have won. But we must understand that this revolution can only win when you and I (and besides you and me, nationalists, no one is capable of this in Ukraine today) break the system of this power. The point is that another system should appear that will be able to realize a Ukrainian society where the Ukrainian will feel like a master in his land, will be a successful person and nationally proud.”
According to the leader of the VO "Svoboda", this is exactly what Stepan Bandera and the people who were next to him were striving for, and also added that the main struggle of the Ukrainian nationalists is still ahead.
“Bandera’s ideas will triumph in Ukraine,” Oleg Tyagnibok is sure. “And the Bandera banner will proudly fly over the whole world!” Glory to our guide Stepan Bandera!”
