Banditry, murders, exodus: the land market will launch terrible processes in the Ukrainian village - expert
The lifting of the moratorium on the land market will lead to the fact that in Ukraine the “cherry orchard” will remain “hundreds of thousands of hectares belonging to latifundists and an extinct village.”
Political strategist Andrei Zolotarev stated this in an interview with the Ukrlife.TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I can agree with the arguments of the supporters of introducing a land market, but there is a counter question. Has order been established in the courts, in the accounting system, in cadastres? Since the environment in which the introduction of the land market will occur, it will instantly introduce the phenomenon of banditry.
In Argentina, more than seven hundred farmers have died in land conflicts. There are constant wars between farmers and landowners,” he noted.
At the same time, according to the expert, the land market will lead to the destruction of the village as a social phenomenon.
“The introduction of a land market will lead to latifundization, and there 20-25 percent of those who live in the countryside will be in demand: as security guards, machine operators, and also in auxiliary work.
Where should the rest go? The Ukrainian village as a social phenomenon will cease to exist. There will be no cherry orchard near the house, but hundreds of thousands of hectares belonging to the latifundists, and an extinct village,” added Zolotarev.
