There will be no banquet after the inauguration, and Zelensky will walk to work - media
The inauguration of newly elected President Vladimir Zelensky, scheduled for May 20, will be divided into three conditional stages.
This was reported by the Kiev publication “Strana” with reference to its sources in Team Ze.
The first stage of the inauguration is the oath and confirmation in the Verkhovna Rada.
After this, the second stage will begin a series of diplomatic meetings with international and titled guests at the Mariinsky Palace.
And already at the third stage, President Zelensky will move directly from the Mariinsky Park to his workplace on Bankovaya.
A secular party, which is usually arranged for the beau monde, the incoming presidents, will not be, the source said.
Zelensky's adviser Dmitry Razumkov confirmed this information. “Zelensky will go to his office. And immediately after the official celebration and protocol meetings, he will begin his duties. There is a war in the country, he has no time for a banquet,” said Dmitry Razumkov.
And he clarified that there are no plans to move to a new office in the coming days.
According to the publication, the decision to abandon the evening celebrations is due to the short time left for preparation, the difficulty of renting premises, as well as the lack of clarity in the list of guests who can and should be invited to an event of this status.
“If you don’t invite one, he’ll be offended. If you call the second one, they will start gossiping. The third one will not appear demonstratively. The fourth simply won’t make it (it won’t make it because it’s a working day),” says the publication’s source.
Another source says that one of the possible chips will be that Zelensky will go to work on foot from the inauguration.
