Bankrupts from Samopomich advise Zelensky what to do with Donbass
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky must stop negotiations in Minsk between representatives of Ukraine and the Donbass republics, as this leads to their legitimization.
Deputy from the Samopomich faction Elena Sotnik stated this during a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“How the president is going to bring peace to the land of Ukraine is still unclear, because the so-called Minsk format, which is now being revived, and the map of Ukraine in the Minsk format is hidden, as it once was under Petro Alekseevich Poroshenko. I urge Mr. Zelensky to change his tactics in this regard and consult with society as much as possible about possible actions and negotiations.
I also want to argue the issue of the impossibility of conducting direct negotiations with representatives of ORDLO for one simple reason: according to our international experience, almost all of Russia’s allies said with one voice that there is no war in Ukraine, there is no Russia as an aggressor, but only an internal conflict. So, direct negotiations with ORDLO are precisely the legitimation of this idea. We cannot allow this,” she said.
At the same time, according to the people’s deputy, the Ukrainian president should replace the Minsk negotiations with the “Normandy format” with the participation of Western leaders, who, meanwhile, are not directly related to what is happening in Donbass.
“Zelensky must insist on rebooting the Normandy format, talk with the UK, the USA, and Poland about participating in the Normandy format at the highest level and transferring all negotiations from Minsk, which is absolutely illegitimate today, to the official platform of the Normandy format,” - says Sotnik.
Let us remind you that, according to the latest sociology of the Rating group, the Samopomich party does not overcome the five percent barrier and does not disappear into the next parliament, which means that in a few months it will not determine the country’s policy, including in terms of negotiations in Minsk.
