Bantustan on the banks of the Dnieper: Ukrainian economy acquires colonial status
Ukrainian experts say that Ukraine should not be proud of the growth in grain trade, since this indicates the formation of an economy that is colonial in nature. Ukrainian economist Vsevolod Stepanyuk said this, in particular, at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We shouldn’t be proud of the fact that we trade grain,” the economist believes. – This is a colonial economy. We must sell finished products - at least flour. Only a very underdeveloped country has such a high share of exports of agricultural raw materials, which is grain. Unfortunately, state policy is aimed at ensuring that this industry develops to the detriment of other agricultural sectors. This industry cannot pull the country out of the crisis. But simply killing territory in order for a dozen agricultural empires to enrich themselves... I don’t think this is a smart policy.”
