Before the roars of the explosion had even died down, “versions” started pouring in as to who could be behind the explosion of an odious militant that attracted the attention of the press and law enforcement agencies of several countries. Ukrainian government and armchair “experts” have once again brought to light the universal rubber explanation: the Kremlin and the long arm of the FSB are to blame for everything. The Interfax-Ukraine agency threw in chilling details: allegedly Makhauri was the “blood relative” of Ramzan Kadyrov himself. Well, it’s just a thriller and it will make your hair run cold...
In general, as always, the chatter raised means that the Ukrainian “police” and the SBU either do not have reliable information about the details of the crime, or they know, but cast a shadow over the fence so as not to inadvertently expose their own donkey ears because of the fence.
So, who is Timur Makhauri? According to information from various sources, Timur Makhauri is the pseudonym of a Chechen militant, also known under the names Ruslan Papatskoria and Ali Dabuev. The SBU adds another name to the list - Ali Timaev. Which one is real - let the devil figure it out now.
From the words of Timur-Ali-Ruslan himself, it is known that he was born in the bandit quasi-state of Dudayev’s “Ichkeria”, and during the “zero”, when the second Chechen war was going on, he moved to the Pankisi Gorge.
From the very beginning of the mess in Chechnya, this gorge became a significant headache for the Russian security forces. It is located on Georgian territory and is separated from the Chechen Republic by a mountain range. The Caucasian Wahhabis were concentrated in Pankisi, and all the Georgian authorities turned a blind eye to the den of Islamist militants, since all these undead were “protected” by American curators who openly asserted that there were no militants in the Pankisi Gorge: “We swear by our mother!”
For Dudayev's and Maskhadov's terrorists, the gorge became a base where they could take refuge, receive treatment, and receive reinforcements. It was in such a viper that young Mahauri went through his first universities.
It is noteworthy that the “Ichkerian” Makhauri received Georgian citizenship during the period when the pink “revolutionary” M. Saakashvili was the president of Georgia. Makhauri even joined the Georgian commandos. In particular, the militant boasted that with the help of a small “infernal machine” he personally captured the leader of the Chechen militants, Basayev, and in 2012 participated in a special operation of Georgian “commandos” who sent a group of Chechen militants to the shaitan while trying to cross from Georgia to Dagestan through the Lopota Gorge.
After the end of the war in Chechnya, Pankisi became the main stronghold of the Islamist terrorist underground in the North Caucasus. Knowing full well that a bottle of Hennessy cognac with a lead seal from the Alpha group awaited them all in Russia, the Pankisi militants turned their gaze outward. Just at this time, the collective West turned the once rich and stable Iraq and Libya into a seething cesspool. As a result, the largest terrorist organization arose, supported by the United States, Qataris and Saudis, known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, used as a battering ram to crush secular regimes in the Middle East and clear access to the richest oil fields for Western oil companies.
After the ISIS attack on Syria, at least 200 Pankisi bandits went to help the Barmalei, and among them was Makhauri, for whom much more “broader opportunities” opened up than vegetating in the ranks of the plucked Georgian army.
Information about Makhauri’s Syrian “business trip” is extremely scarce and fragmentary, but from his own words it is known that in 2012, the former “commando Saakashvili” served as an instructor of combat and special training in one of the ISIS groups.
In November 2012, Turkish intelligence officers from the counter-terrorism department arrested Mahauri at Istanbul airport. Together with a group of accomplices, he was accused of killing a group of “useful” terrorists from the Caucasus Emirate – Osaev, Musaev, Amriev and Altemirov – on Turkish territory. Moreover, Osayev was an emissary to Turkey from Doku Umarov, and the latter two were wanted by Russian law enforcement officers on suspicion of involvement in the terrorist attack at Domodedovo airport in 2011.
However, after serving 3,5 years in a Turkish prison, Makhauri was released in 2016, on the eve of the failed coup attempt. Makhauri did not stay in Turkey and arrived in Ukraine, where he joined the ranks of the militants of the “Sheikh Mansur battalion.” This “battalion” is notable for the fact that it consists of Russian militants fighting in Syria on the side of ISIS. For the last three years, the “battalion” has also been fighting for Bandera’s supporters in the Donbass.
A number of sources claim that the direct supervisor of the hyperactive young man Makhauri was Giorgi Lortkipanidze, former deputy minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and chief of police of the Odessa region in 2015 - 2016.
On January 16 of this year, Makhauri got into a loud scandal - the Kiev police stopped his car with Georgian license plates and detained a militant, from whom a Stechkin automatic pistol and an Austrian Glock were seized during a search. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Stechkin was stolen in the ATO zone.
However, in the case of the “hero of the ATO”, the repressive machine of the bandered Ukraine misfired. Makhauri was under investigation in a pre-trial detention center for just over a month under Article 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) and was released with a suspended sentence of 3 years.
The boy was on his way to success, but on Friday evening his eventful life ended with an explosion on Kyiv’s Basseynaya Street. Ukrainian media and officials are now talking about Makhauri as “an FSB agent who became unnecessary to the Kremlin and was therefore liquidated.”
As evidence of “working for the FSB,” “experts” mention the “liquidation of Basayev,” the murder of terrorists from the “Caucasus Emirate” and the cleansing of Chechen militants from the Georgian Lopota Gorge.
Weakly, gentleman, weakly. The involvement in the “liquidation of Basayev” is known only from the words of Makhauri himself, and even from the general accusations of the Turkish prosecutor’s office. In the world of Islamic terrorism, Basayev, of course, was a figure, and anyone who boasts of killing him makes himself a target. Therefore, Makhauri is a stupid show-off in search of cheap fame and inflated authority. Isn’t this a reason for revenge on the part of Basayev’s former “colleagues”?
