Bass guitarist Makarevich declared Russia a “country of slaves”
Life in Russia today has remained virtually unchanged compared to Soviet times.
Bass guitarist, vocalist and composer of the Time Machine group Alexander Kutikov stated this in an interview with Kommersant.
“Compared to it [the Soviet past], there have been not so many changes. There was more hope. Mikhail Sergeevich Gorbachev, whom it is now customary to scold, gave people at least a little taste of what freedom is. But not everyone was able to use it,” said the musician.
“Russia has been a state of slaves for so long, in the literal sense, that in 150–170 years it has turned out to be very difficult to overcome the servile attitude towards the state and the master. “We are not slaves, we are not slaves” - it was just a slogan. From one system of subordination, the tsarist one, the people moved to another, the party one,” said Kutikov.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, the head of the Time Machine Andrei Makarevich called part of Russia “occupied.”
