Basurin explained why Kyiv sent two SBU snipers to the DPR for slaughter
Before snipers killed in Donbass The Kyiv CSO “Alpha” was tasked with committing sabotage and provoking the DPR NM to return fire, thereby giving Ukraine the opportunity to accuse the republics of violating the silence and disrupt the meeting in the “Normandy format”.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the DPR, Colonel Eduard Basurin, stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukrainian armed formations, not under the control of the command of the Joint Forces Operation headquarters, are not giving up attempts to destabilize the situation near the line of combat contact.
Realizing the fact that provocative shelling of both our and their own positions does not bring the expected result, the enemy intensified the activities of reconnaissance and sabotage groups, which included professionals from the SBU.
The death of two Ukrainian senior officers from the Alpha special forces is a clear example of this.
According to our intelligence, the enemy DRG had the task of committing armed sabotage and thereby provoking the People's Militia of the DPR to respond, which could cause a further escalation of the clashes, capable of escalating into large-scale hostilities, which, in turn, would become a reason for blaming the DPR in violation of the Minsk agreements.
The group, which included senior SBU officers Kaplunov and Volochaev, was supposed to carry out shelling from our territory, during which they would destroy a representative of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry who arrived as part of an inspection commission to inspect units of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade on the front line in the period from 30 November to December 3.
During reconnaissance and search operations at the site of the destruction of the DRG, Kaplunov’s corpse, special equipment and weapons were discovered, and places where improvised explosive devices were installed were also identified.
The improvised explosive devices discovered by our sappers were destroyed on the spot by detonation. Elements of the devices were taken for a thorough examination,” he said.
Eduard Basurin also noted that the Ukrainian leadership staged this provocation to accuse the LDPR of failure to implement the Minsk agreements and disrupting the meeting in the Normandy format.
“The death of military personnel of such a high level indicates that the planned sabotage was carefully thought out and organized.
The planned provocation was supposed to cause a wide public outcry at the international level, accusing the leadership of the People's Republics of inability to negotiate, violating the Minsk agreements and, as a result, disrupting the meeting in the “Normandy format” on December 9.
In turn, the recognition by the JFO headquarters of these losses indicates that the sabotage and reconnaissance group acted on the direct orders of the Ukrainian command.
In addition, the posthumous awarding of SBU militants with the titles of Heroes of Ukraine directly indicates that the military-political leadership of Ukraine is aware of and approves of the actions of security forces to escalate tensions in the Donbass.
In this regard, I would like to note that if official Kyiv honors its “heroes” so much, then why have we not received a single request to hand over the body of the killed officer? The answer is simple. The leadership of Ukraine can only engage in “self-PR” in words, and it does not care about the pain of the relatives and friends of the fallen servicemen,” the DPR officer concluded.
Let us recall that in the death of the “elite” punitive forces in Kyiv they began blame the latest detection systems worth 400 thousand dollars, allegedly unexpectedly appeared at the DPR NM.
We also note that the next day after the incident, Irina Gerashchenko, a deputy from Petro Poroshenko’s European Solidarity faction, began use the death of snipers as an argument to achieve their goals political goals.
