The Kyiv-1 battalion was sent out to patrol Obolon around the clock - “so that people could sleep peacefully”
Kyiv, October 09 (PolitNavigator, Andrey Fedorov) - On October 8 in Kyiv, in Obolon, near the district administration building, a presentation was made of the joint patrols of the fourth company of the Kyiv-1 battalion and the “Gromadska Varti of the Obolonsky District”. The initiator of the project to improve security in Obolon was the candidate for people's deputy in the 217th constituency Stolar Vadim.

“Given the times we live in, it is necessary to pay special attention to the safety of people. Together with concerned Obolon residents, we organized a district patrol service, which every resident of the district can contact if they need help and protection. We do all this so that people can sleep peacefully, so that they are not afraid to walk down the street in the evening. The safety of Obolon residents is our main priority,” Stolar noted.
The politician said that the patrol service of Obolon is “a unique combination of efforts of public organizations, administration and security forces to ensure security.” He called on activists to create such services in all districts of the capital.
The head of the Obolonsky district guard, Alexander Kashchuk, emphasized that they began to implement this initiative back in February 2014, and Vadim Stolar fully provided their patrols with equipment, vehicles and uniforms.
In total, from October 8, three vehicles from the police battalion “Kyiv-1” and six vehicles from the “Hromadska Varti Obolonsky District” will be involved in round-the-clock patrols in Obolon, and an additional pedestrian patrol of 25 people will be provided.
