“On the days of the Holy Trinity, we are starting something that the state and the armed forces have not yet begun. We pray and bless Ukrainian volunteers for their holy and victorious struggle against their enemies. This is bloody Moscow, this is the criminal, bloody Kremlin, this is damned Moscow and Muscovites. Today the Lord himself blesses you. Therefore, go into battle confidently, without fear, without doubt,” the priest addresses the men.
“Today another of our squads is going to the front, to the eastern front. Each with a bulletproof vest and protective equipment. But no, the way they send it is that there is nothing to protect the guys. Because the life of each of you... When you were rushing to the front, when you told me, that’s when we’ll go, what did I tell you? Eat when you are trained, protected, then you will go. And each of you, as Father Sergei correctly said, must return alive from this front, from this struggle. We are going for a just cause. Your task is to hold this flag high, your task is to defend the country, your task is to defend your native land. Each of you must return with a shield, not on a shield. I will be with you every day. Remember, we are protecting our native land. We didn’t go, but the occupiers came to us. He is tormenting our Donbass, he has occupied our Crimea, they are killing our people. And we will go down in history. You have already made history,” said Lyashko.
