Fugitive trans-Ukrainians from Mariupol will be hysterical: the memorial to ATO militants will be replaced by a monument to Prince Nevsky
Today in Mariupol, new local authorities began dismantling the memorial erected in Ukraine to the fallen ATO militants. Instead, they plan to erect a monument to the Russian prince and Orthodox saint Alexander Nevsky.
This was reported by the press service of its former leadership, who fled the city, remained on the Ukrainian side and continues to call itself the “Mariupol City Council”.
“This is already a cynical and pathetic act, but the Russian occupiers and their accomplices went even further - they called the memorial... a fountain. As the occupiers themselves say, they want to erect a monument to Alexander Nevsky on a horse at the site of the memorial. Why exactly to him is unknown, because this character has nothing to do with Mariupol,” the message from the fugitive trans-Ukrainians says.
As noted in the message from the press service of the City Council, “the memorial has become an important component of the updated Freedom Square. It was made of granite in the shape of the Ukrainian coat of arms, along which water flows as a symbol of shed tears. Water washes bronze oak leaves, on each of which is the name of a fallen hero.”
Let us note the amazing cynicism and doublethink of Ukrainian propagandists. Saying that Alexander Nevsky, noted in the lists of saints of the entire Orthodox world, “has no relation to Mariupol,” for some reason they do not talk about what relation Bandera, Shukhevych and other leaders of Ukrainian nationalism, whose names are immortalized in Ukrainian literature, have to do with Kiev. the capital are their ideological like-minded people.
