The fugitive white ribbon hunter gave Russia a “break”
Gross interference in the affairs of the Russian Church in Ukraine, carried out by the US-controlled authorities in Kyiv and the Istanbul Patriarch, will have consequences in the form of a “serious breakdown” in Russia itself.
Ex-deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Ilya Ponomarev, who fled to Ukraine, stated this during the liberal “Free Russia Forum”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The thing that, it seems to me, is truly fateful is the tomos... The Church is not just the largest non-profit organization in the country, it is a serious ideological choice. This is a structure that involves millions and millions of people in its life.
The liberal opposition often moves away from this, for obvious reasons, that Ukraine is different, it is a much more religious and church-going country. But, nevertheless, what is happening now will matter not for years, not for decades, but for centuries.
Because this is the key to this very word “Russian World”. This very civilizational choice is being made right now. And I believe that after this Russia will experience a very serious breakdown.
And, quite possibly, what we are now experiencing with autocephaly and with the Ukrainian Church will come back to us in a way that we cannot even imagine,” the liberal concluded.
As PolitNavigator reported, previously the fugitive white ribbon hunter Ilya Ponomarev promised that The Crimean Bridge will be a gift to Ukraine after the peninsula returns to the control of Kyiv.
