Ukraine today competes not with European producers, but with African markets. Former State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev stated this on Radio Vesti.

According to him, today only investors-adventurers come to Ukraine who understand that there is a war in the country.
“You understand what type of investors initially come to emerging markets, which is Ukraine. There is some kind of adventurous streak within me. In this sense, Ukraine does not compete with Western Europe for investment. It competes with Africa, Southeast Asia, for example. Therefore, they come to a country where everything is difficult, shoot, and so on,” Ponomarev said.
